Marwayne, maybe you should "copyright" your work - if there's such a thing in carpentry. Your ideas are so good, I believe manufacturers should do some of the same things you did to maximize space. But I don't think they should be able to "steal" your ideas!
And thanks to you and Tech for each explaining how you used -- or did not use -- mollybolts. I appreciate EVERYTHING I learn on the forum. Diane

Hello
I'm very impressed with your modifications. I have a 17'6 and feel the need to make changes, your photos will help. Where did you obtain the porthole windows and were they difficult to install?? Thanks Konabob

Just curious. How much have you increased the weight of the Pod? Safe Travels.

Hi there,
Great Mods on your 172! I would like to add the porthole windows to the bunks as well. A little worried about running into the aluminum wall framing. How did you know where to put the windows without hitting anything? Drawings?

Marwayne,
I think your mods are great. Can you tell me what stain color you used to match the Pod's color. |

One way - keep an eye on your pod on cool mornings in the summer. Condensation on the outside will be different where the supports are. |

Lefty, I mixed my own stain, I think I started with a medium walnut and mixed it with golden oak and mahogany.

Or, just use an electronic stud finder. |

You don't need a stud finder, I already know where I am.
