We pull our 2011 177 with a 2010 F150 which is before echoboost.  It gets 15 mpg on the flat at 55, but mpg drops quickly at 70 or in the mountains.  We think it is worth it when camping.  We love ours and can't wait for spring!  Enjoy!!

If I have not already said "welcome"....Welcome to the group!  Have fun buying goodies.
Most folks seem to get 11-12mpg regardless of what they pull with.  I would love to follow you to Alaska - it's on my bucket list. Smile

They do pull easy, but reference to earlier posts I think the problem is the rounded front, there is a lot of drag, and probably a real vacuum between the front of the pod and tow vehicle, anyhoo its still cool looking and fun and a great camper. have fun

Do you mean an air dam to mount on top?
