Well, we bought a new 182G in 2011. Absolutely love it (especially the gargage), but disappointed in interior storage and those 10 cent valances over the forward windows. Over the winter I built these shelves to help with both problems. They are 4 inches deep and made from aspen purchased from Lowes. Right and left side are identical. I'm a little disappointed in the color match, but it's not as bad as the pictures suggest. Also, I need to add some stretchy mesh to keeps things in place while towing. If anyone has any suggestions about where to buy, please advise. Other ideas also welcome. I used the fabric from the old valances to create new ones. Curtains are compliments of my wife and install with spring loaded rods. I still need to fill the nail holes (didn't think they would show in the pics). Let us know what you think.

Nice job!  Good looking woodwork. I liked how you used the old valance material.  Goose   Thumbs Up

I'm not a fan of the meshy thing.  However, I like the storage shelf idea.  I'm wondering if it could be made to bump out a bit more and then to install a door on them that would either open up or down.
