Has anyone removed the sink from their pod bathroom?

I've seen one pod that didn't have the sink in the bathroom, and 2 that do have the sink in them.

Just wondered if anyone had done this mod to gain space in the shower area.

thanks

I took our sink out.

The DW and I both are much happier showering in our closet now with it gone.  It's nice to have those couple of inches for your elbows and arms to bump around in.

All I did was remove the sink, cap the pipe and ordered a piece of the wall panels from FR and cut to fit the opening and then sealed the crap out of it with waterproof caulk.

I haven't changed out the existing faucet though, but I might this Spring.

thanks kymooses!

did you go directly to FR for parts, or go through your local dealer?

the dealer closest to me couldn't even access the parts section of FR--not too confidence inspiring.

Diamondgirlz the 2010 and early 2011 model POD's do not have the sink in the bath if you don't want to mess with removing one and don't mind a used model. Ours was made in August of 2010 as a 2011 model and came without the sink.
Welcome and hopefully you will move up to an R-POD.   Goose

thanks Goose,

glad to be here.  we did look at a 2011 172 last week (no sink), drove through a whiteout to look at it.  there is an rpod locally at a dealer, but wrong floorplan.  going tomorrow to look at another one, hopefully the weather will cooperate as its a few hours away.

Talked with Forest River and got a couple pieces of paneling.  That was all we needed for the job.

We're happy to have you here.  While most here own a Pod, we welcome everyone.  Most all of the equipment is the same or similar and operates the same or similar in the various makes of campers.  The camping & travel experiences are great to share, regardless of what you are pulling.  Good luck in your search.
