I was waiting for a nice day to do my 3 inch risers for my 2011 RP-172, I got them for a Christmas present ( from myself, that way I am happy with it and don't need anymore green ties) today was perfect, blue skies, 60 degrees by 1pm, light wind. Well I got her jacked up, tire off, used impact wrench to remove the left side first, lower axle and guess what. I have a Dexter axle, they billed me for a Dexter lift kit, but sent the Lippert lift kid, only problem is the Dexter holes are 8 inch on center, the Lippert are 8 and 3/4. Wont fit. put it all back together, called F R, Brandy in parts was very apologetic, shipping new kit out tomorrow, no charge, dont worry about sending the wrong ones back, she was very helpful, tip one, dont do this on a gravel drive, I am still picking gravel out of my backside, its not hard to do but I think I am going to take to my shop in town where we have big floor jacks, real jackstands, and lots of a lot younger guys than me to help, with the right tools should take about 30 or 40 minutes the first time and about 25 the second, anyone want a good deal on a Lipper 3 in lift kit ?
