Welcome and congratulations.  Any minute now, someone is going to suggest that you "name" your R-Rod, for the sake of "fun".  Just figured I'd give you a heads-up now, so you can start thinking about it, although leaving it "nameless" is perfectly acceptable too.  Big smile

  Welcome and happy podding.
So many great places close to Portland, how does one choose. I liked the Columbia River Gorge around Multnomah Falls, lots of quiet places to camp off of the old highway.   Goose

Finally decided to purchase a new 171 today.  Went to our local dealer and gave them a deposit.  We will be getting a new 2013 Rpod 171 at the end of April, beginning of May.  Now looking thru all our old camping gear and trying to find out where we need to fill in.  Really looking forward to our first camp with the new trailer.  Now have to decide where to go for it's maiden voyage.  We're here in Portland so will stay kind of close to see what we forgot.  Anyway, can now officially join this wonderful group.  Since Sept. of last year I have been doing lots of reading of posts on both websites and have already purchased a number of items that were recommended.  Thanks all, for your great suggestions.
