We've pulled Eloise to several state park campgrounds here in Alabama, and one county park campground. Weekend before last was our first experience at a private park (they like to refer to themselves as an "outdoor destination"). We were expecting it to be less camping and more RVing (we prefer the former), but it was actually a nice compromise. This weekend is our first experience at a COE campground. The forecast says a thunderstorm is possible, but from now through September, that's every day around here. Our reservation is made; we're looking forward to a new adventure in camping!

The COE campground looks pretty nice.  Have fun!

We were at at COE campground along the Mississippi River last summer, and it was fantastic!  The price at $16/night was well worth it.

Very nice private park! And the price isn't that bad, considering that I've stayed at some KOA's that cost that much. The last private park I stayed at was about $60 per night - ouch, but it was only one night passing through the area. Classy place, though. Enjoy your adventures!

We had a Groupon deal for the private park - two nights for the price of one! We probably wouldn't stay there at full price. We're pretty spoiled on having plenty of good public park options close by.
