Still trying to figure out where to put all my stuff that I pulled out of our pop-up camper, does anyone have any suggestions or a list for efficient packing?
Here a couple of photos:
Out with the old and in with the new!

Sounds like us. We have a 2005 Niagara Highwall and although I really like it I am getting tired of all the setup. I am really struggling because the pup is paid for and the R Pod 178 that we are looking at are still pretty expensive.. My nightmare is that I sell the pup and end up not being able to afford the new trailer Sleepy

If you are still lurking on this forum, how are you liking the 177 now that you have had it for awhile?

We too are in California - just got our R-Pod 177 yesterday!  What are some of the places you've been so far?  We're doing Malibu for our maiden voyage on Saturday.

We also bought a 2012 177 in March of this year. We have gone out a few times and plan to hit up campsites all over New England. It is a perfect size for the two of us and we've done a few modifications. We haven't had any problems with it but we do want to change out the mattress soon. I hope you enjoy yours as much as we do. I used to live in California and miss the warm weather!

We are used to pillow top at home so  went to KOHL'S and purchased the foam w/ pillow top topper.Pricey but well worth it as we are living in our 171  for the next 5 months!  as far as the "pockets"  pain in ^**(. I took the bedroom ones down and in the bath you can't get to them as you are showering so went to bed bath and beyond they sell a vinyl shower curtain WITH 7 pockets facing inside shower for $ 20 !

Smile

We just took our 2012 R Pod 177 on its first trip.  Five beautiful sunny days.  We have not camped for twenty years.  We did not set up the R Dome this time.   A couple items of note.  The emergency brake cable would drag unless corrected.  The sink plumbing was not correctly set up.  The hose was completely separated from the sink.   The first morning my wife and friend noticed water dripping out from the slide.  On the first cold night I turned the furnace on at five AM.  One minute later an alarm went off.  Turned off the furnace.  Turns out the plumbing was not correctly installed from the sink to the waste line.  Needs a certain set up to work with the slide.  The alarm went off because of an oily film put on the grate by the furnace when built.
Towed great with our 2004 Avalanche.

Congratulations.  Just enjoy the heck out of it.  We just returned from our maiden voyage and only had two small gripes that our dealer took care of instantly.  Ready to head out next month, again.  Safe Travels..
