We are the proud owners of a 2012 r-pod 177 and can't wait to get out an explorer some of our favorite camp sites here in California.  Back in 2006 we started with a Fleetwood Niagara, we loved the above ground feel but hated the pop-up setup and went to a 31ft Airstream, which ended up being to stressful because we never fit anywhere and with our truck we were almost 54ft long, we started looking at r-pods last year, but thought we would hold off because we caught wind of some nice changes for 2012, so we picked up a cheap pop-up to keep us off the ground and now we after much research, I believe we have finally made the right choice, these things are so cool!
Still trying to figure out where to put all my stuff that I pulled out of our pop-up camper, does anyone have any suggestions or a list for efficient packing?
Here a couple of photos:
Out with the old and in with the new!

Having gone from popup to RPod ourselves, we can say you'll love it. Also grats.
Ready to pod around!

Welcome!  Even though you are experienced campers you might try "camp driveway" one night to help you figure you where to put stuff and what you still need.

It will take a while to figure out what you put in it.  Just trial and error I guess.  Congrats on the new Pod!

I think I remove something I think I don't need and add something new each time we go out.  It's a never ending camping cycle of where does this go and why in the world do we have 2 of these in here!

Congratulations on the Pod, looks great with your TV.

And kudos to a great post that starts off with pictures!  We love pictures!

Happy Podding!

What are the nice changes, other than cosmetic, for 2012?

Welcome.  You will love your 177 and this site!

@Keith-N-Dar
You are right most are cosmetic, I really like the new interior and the HRE for 2012 looks great, not sure why the tires have to be so rugged, but they sure make it look cool, there is also a few other functional things like the addition of sleeves both in the bathroom and bedroom to put stuff in and the dealer said they have switched a more comfortable mattress, not sure if that is true, you know who dealers can be.
