Now they are only $11.86 each.

Thanks for the info Camper Bob. I just ordered two for our "escape pod."  For others who are interested here is a pix of the lock we are talking about.

Received the locks yesterday.  Problem.  Evidently they make several lengths.  The ones I bought were only 5/8" long.  Too short.  So contacted Amazon and will be sending them back.  Reordered the 1 1/8" length.  In the mail.  Will report.

Ops. Looks like I'll need to do the same thing. I've never returned anything to Amazon. Was it a hassle?

Whew.  These look like good locks and I was preparing to order a set for myself.  From amazon. com the right part is http://www.amazon.com/Combi-Cam-7850R-L-Chrome-Large-Combinated/dp/B000W7DBWA/ref=pd_bxgy_auto_text_b
I will be ordering my set shortly.  Thanks for advice and update.

Just received the longer locks from Amazon.  They issued a free return via UPS.  Will credit my account the full amount including the original shipping charge.  Can't beat that.  Anyway, installed the new longer versions and they fit just right.  Now that my confidence level is at an all time high, maybe I should replace the A/C just for practice.  Safe Travels.

Thanks for the info, Bob.  If you do find a quiet replacement for the A/C let us all know!
