Manhunt at the state park and I don't mean the hide and seek kind you played as a kid. It was the park ranger, multiple sheriffs, 12 gauge shot gun, k-9 sniffing kind of manhunt! Turns out someone robbed the entrance station of the park. The k-9s had the scent but lost it so the park ranger thinks they were picked up by a car waiting in the park. By the time we arrived, we were greeted by a ranger truck parked across the road blocking a car with another ranger circling it with a shot gun. They were waiting for the sherif to come and check out the people.  It wasn't the person who committed the robbery so they were let go and we were allowed to pass by and go on to the camping area.

The park ranger assured us that we were safe but my shepherd wasn't on his leash the rest of the night. It's nice traveling with our own security system.

Otherwise Falls Lake in NC is a beautiful place to camp.

That's the kind of camping excitement you don't need.  To bad the thieves weren't caught.   Yes, it is nice to camp with a four legged security system.

You might not select a Cocker Spaniel as a security guard, but we have one who thinks he's a
rottweiller (sp?), and sounds like one when he's barking.

Bah... 175 pounds of dog in our pod.. the two of them would open the door and show the thieves where the silver and jewelry are.. lol

If we had a doorbell.. and the baddies rang it first, then they might think twice.. but the pod doesn't have one.
