Oh boy, I think Im introducing myself.  If this ends up elsewhere, then it does.  lol
So I do NOT HAVE an Rpod yet.  Just bought a 2013 jeep wrangler unlimited and now looking at the rpod 171.  I just love them.  Went to Sacramento this last weekend to check them out because of the tow weight.  Now I must have one.  lol  Its in the works, thought I would wait until June to hit the RV show where the prices are more negotiable.  Wanted to start chatting with people who are familiar and set up some camping!

Welcome! I live in Sacto (we just moved here) and we have a 177. I'm looking forward to hearing about the campgrounds and outings you find in the area and we'll be sure to share ours too!

Where were you looking at the R-Pods? I saw a few at a place on El Camino Ave. but Forest River lists the closest dealer at French Camp.

HI Thadd,  It was on El Camino, Pan Pacific Rv.   It is part of the French Camp place.  I am actually from Ma but moved to the Modesto area in the early 70's.  So Im really familiar with Patterson, CA- Tahoe-Reno and Virginia City.  Been to a lot of places in this wide area.  lol  Where did you move from?  Did you happen to go to the NOrthwestern meet up last Sept in Seaside Oregon?  Would love to catch that this year.  I live in Tahoe City and there are a ton of campgrounds up here.  I actually live about 1/4 a mile from one.  lol  Have you been able to make it up here yet?  Snowfest starts the end of Feb!

MudPupp , saw one for sale in the for sale section, I think they were asking $9450. it was out west, heck everything is west of us. (Indiana) good luck on your search.

Lol  That is a whole lot of west to cover!!  It seems to me the prices in the east are a lot cheaper.  I know if you go to Reno you are paying that 20,000.  They are not budging and they dont stock the smaller pods.

Welcome.

Raised in the area.. parents used to have property in Truckee..

Love the Tahoe area. we were camping there last July when 6" of snow fell.. We were at the little state park right in Tahoe City..Good campground for a Pod.. in fact the reason we have the Pod.. 'cause you ain't getting 31' of Airstream and an Expedition in and out of there. Period.
