Hey fellow podders,

My wife and I are considering mounting a wall cabinet in the wet-bath of our 2010 R-Pod 173.  I wanted to mount it on the wall directly behind the toilet.  Its dimensions are 15" wide by 7"deep by 21" high.  It weights approximately 19 lbs.  Will the back wall support that kind of weight if I make sure that it is secured to at least one or more studs inside the wall?

Thanks for all the tips and suggestions that we find on a daily basis on this forum.

Hi and welcome, yes the wall would support the cabinet . But why dont you install a cabinet from wall to wall so it looks build in and not like a box in the middle of the wall, you will also be able to attach the cabinet on  three walls. IMHO

Seems like you'd hit your head on it when you use the toilet...

For some reason the back bathroom wall has a lot of room between the inner and outer walls.  I used molly bolts through the outer wall to fasten a shelf above the bed in my 171.  I would use either a molly bolt or toggle bolt to fasten the cabinet to the inner wall.
