I have a 2016 172. The bunks hold a regular twin mattress with a little space to spare. The weight limit on these is 200 pounds. But as with all weight limits, things add up quickly. If you're 175 lbs and add for a mattress (some as much as 40 lbs by themselves), bedding and a dog, you could be in trouble....or whoever is in the lower bunk could be.
