For all of you with a new 176T, I would love to hear a complete review of your TT when you get a chance. I'm curious how well the pop-out bed area would work for someone 6'-2" like myself. And can you leave the bed set up during the day, but still sit on the sides of the dinette with the table up in a usable position.

Thanks!

We have a cocker/king charles mix and she does great along with our lab. of course most of the time around the site we have to keep them on a chain, unless primitive camping. We live in the woods with lots of wooded acres around us so they are just to just about going where they want and always return. Basically we camp mostly so we can take the dogs..They are out kids.

Welcome fallsrider.  Not many T's around here but I'm sure you'll hear from those that have them.

Aye been a while since I've seen a T model owner.

I do know from one owner that had one a tip they shared years ago.

If you are camping in cooler temps with your T model they put a type of insulation inbetween the zipper flaps and the screen during colder camping.  They mention it got pretty chilly in there otherwise.

Welcome to you CTers and VAers! Smile

We are very big on groups of pods all lined up in a campground around this forum!  Indeed there is a rally planned for NC in mid June.  See details in the roundups threads.  It is a bit far from CT but not that bad from VA.
We are trying to plan another roundup somewhere in upstate NY or thereabouts for later in summer or early fall.  There is also a thread started about that one.

We hope to see all of you set up camped near us one day!

You are thinking of radiant barrier, one name brand is Reflectix.  Basically aluminum foil on steroids.  We used this in our popup and it worked great and even helped keep it darker in the morning.

That's possibly what it was.  Not owning a T model ourselves we kinda didn't listen too much to that mod description at the Rally we were at!

Thanks, Tech. I find the 172T & 176T intriguing. We've owned a popup, but would like the convenience of a TT. It seems like one of these would give us some of the best of both worlds. But the sleeping arrangements would have to work for DW and myself. If the rear bed is too small, we wouldn't be happy, especially myself at my height.

Some taller people have found they are fine sleeping cross-wise, although that means sleeping separately.

After our first full camping trip l do think that you will be fine. We slept great. For extra leg room just put the dinette table down and cushions will actike a longer bed. Our old pop up had king beds so I was worried about room..we slept great. Just wish our weather had been better.
