I had to have the connector replaced on my wiring harness. It is a 7 pin. Place that replaced it didn't know what to do with the 7th wire. It appears that my fridge can no longer run off battery power. Is this due to the 7th wire not being hooked up?
Thanks

Maybe, maybe not. It depends on which you're calling the 'seventh wire'...
This diagram may be of help. Yes, there is a black charge line in the connector that brings 12v power to your trailer. There is also a yellow reversing lights/aux line that is not used in your trailer; so, if the yellow wire isn't connected, that's perfectly fine as it isn't used anyway. In either case, if your battery is charged, your fridge should operate on 12v. Even in the trailer isn't connected to your vehicle. If your fridge isn't working on 12v, then its time to check your battery and fuses to make sure there isn't a problem. |
