Not so much "mods" as they are "orgs" so here goes:

Built and installed a couple of spice racks on the upper right cabinet door:

Built and installed a storage rack for coffee & oil on the upper left cabinet door:

Installed a couple of small stemware holders in the upper left cabinet for our martini and wine glasses:

Built a shelving unit out of scrap to house our dishes in the upper right cabinet:

Made a cutting board with legs cover for the stovetop to give us more counter space (and a big cutting board to work with):

Added a couple of hooks on the inside of the bathroom door (hallway was getting kind of closed in for us with stuff hanging on the outside of it in the 171):

And last for now, added a couple of fold-up cup holders on either side of the bed walls so that we could kick back and enjoy our morning coffee in bed:

Nice orgs. Great work. I really like the cup holders. Where did you get them?

The cup holders are a standard type for boats that you can find at any boating store. The whole thing folds flat against the wall, and the base flips down while the "holder" part flips up. The holder is adjustable to fit any size cup, bottle or can.

Your pod is looking more user friendly. I like your storage racks inside the door. You have done the same as I in using what scrap wood is on hand to make modifications.    David

I like the cup holders too.  Many times we've hung out on the bed reading and there's no good place for a drink to sit.

We've looked at those cup holders several times now.  They always seemed a bit flimsy at the store.

I guess they hold up pretty well to your coffee mugs?

kymooses, yes they hold up very well to our coffee cups, cans, bottles and large dring cups.  There are some flimsy ones out on the market, but we paid a bit more (@ $10 each) for these ones that are sturdier.  And rather than put holes in the walls I mounted them with 2 strips of 3M heavy-duty double-stick tape on each ... they are definitely not going anywhere!

Good call on the mounting tape!  Thanks for the extra info on them.
