(I feel weird posting this in both forums, but here goes).

Just ordered a 2014 R-178 that will be delivered to us next week. Pretty excited- just my hubby and I and four yellow labs. We will be building them some kind of built-in crate system where the dinette goes. We went back and forth over different models for a long time and decided the 178 fit our needs the best. Just a few months ago I was convinced we needed a classA diesel, but we do a lot of sightseeing and dog show type activities (agility, dock, hunt) out of our Honda Odyssey and I don't think I could be without it (and I sure didn't want to tow it behind a classA). We have a few small road trips planned in the next few months but a big one this fall - we are in Chicago and headed to Seattle and down the west coast. Very excited! :)

Our first few mods will be a new mattress, the dog crate setup, backup cam, and water filtration.

Welcome.  May I suggest "Dog Pod"?

I like dog pod! Or maybe lab pod. I see you are in MD, we have made a few trips out there in the past few years going to an excellent vet. You guys have the best fresh seafood! I love going out there.

Nice to see you folks on both forums.  You and the doggies will love the space of the 178.
