We have used ours on every trip and it really is a great feature. That said, I'm extremely disappointed that the fit is so poor on the larger pods. Hard to believe that FR didn't have this worked out properly, but instead chose to use such a poorly matched accessory. My complaint is based mostly on aesthetics, but isn't that part of the reason many choose the pod? The poor fit also makes it more difficult to properly stake the dome and seal out bugs and water.

Kymoose, do you have a link for those better suction cups for holding the R-Dome flaps to the Pod?  I notice that the ones issued by FR are to be found on Amazon.  Others are featured there also, but I have no idea which are better.  Home Depot only had the mega-cups that are used for lifting glass and large pieces of tile  Any suggestion would be greatly appreciated.

i have a 181g and the r-Dome does not work the greatest with the garage component, plus i have risers, so it throws the height off to stake it properly.  That being said, i never camp without using the r-Dome!  i love it.  

i attach the r-Dome so it's staked properly in front by the hitch and can use the suction cups on the front portion.  the back end towards the garage, i use short bungee cords and good stakes to secure it to the ground. the suction cups at this end have to be attached to the side of the r-Pod, so i need to make sure i have access to the rear-side storage compartment or have it emptied out. 

as someone else mentioned, i took a Sharpie and marked the half-way point on the support pole that is threaded through the half dome.  once, i got a system down, it's a breeze to set up by myself.  the picture below shows how the r-Dome looks for me with the garage component.
