Welcome.  The A/C noise is one of the biggest problems, I agree.

I think we all agree that the Coleman A/C units are much quieter than the Dometics.  I wonder if when you order one, you could specify a Coleman.  I have mentioned before that our 11K BTU Coleman is much quieter than the 13.5 BTU Dometic we had in our last TT.  Or, can you order one that is A/C ready and have the dealer install a Coleman?  Just asking....

Yes, 12v outlets are handy.. and very easy to add. We have added two.

We just came home from Omaha with our new, 2013, 177.  Overall, it's great!  A few things we noticed right away were;
  • It doesn't have any 12 volt outlets!  I think they should add 4 in the 177;
  •   by the bed
  •   in the kitchen
  •   by the dinette
  •   one, exterior type, outside near the other outlets

  • A quieter air conditioner!  The fan is loud, and so is the compressor!  We couldn't hear each other unless we were right next to each other.  Most of the noise seems to be inside the trailer - not much heard outside.
  • The black water flush inlet might be better on the same side as the outlet.  (I DID, however, want to rinse it again, when we got home, and, with the bw valve CLOSED, hooked up the hose and turned it on.  Water started spewing everywher, even after i ran around and opened the valve!  I am hoping I didn't damage anything!)
