I sure hope this is an option. I have too many issues with electronics on my hybrid car to want an electronic lock on an rv.  If not, that would actually be enough for me to take a pass on getting a pod.

My dealer gave me a copy of the original order sheet for the new 178 I ordered.  The electronic lock is listed under the Crown package, leading me to believe that it is an option rather than standard equipment.  This is just my interpretation, I could be wrong.

I picked my 182 up a month ago and it doesn't have one. I can't think of any options they didnt give us, but we don't have that. Is it for the door?

I am sure others will chime in with actual experience on this.  But, yes, it is for the door.  I have a new 178 on order, and it is included in the Crown package.  At least in the Crown package, Version 2, which is what mine will have.  I do not know if the original (earlier) Crown package included the lock.

Everyone!!! The new crown packages dont have the jelly coat to protect the color from fading!! Just called and asked what the differences were. Also, they cheapened the wheels. Make sure you ask and verify before finalizing.

You may want to call someone else about this.  Neither of these items are affected by the Crown package, everything in them is an upgrade over standard equipment.

All pods have the same exterior, the Lamilux Cool Vanilla gel coat fiberglass.  It is the gel coat that gives the fiberglass its color, smoothness and durability.  Without the gel coat, the rough substrate is exposed.  The gel coat is standard on all models.

All pod models have the same wheels, although the west coast factory installs larger wheels.  They are all the standard aluminum split spoke wheels shown in the brochures.  Again, the Crown package is about upgrades to the standard pod features.

I have a new 178 with all the packages on order and was provided a copy of the dealer's order sheet to FR.
