Donna and I are going to be at Last Resort on SR 46 just east of Nashville Indiana 10/16 and 10/17. we are going to use the pod for a motel room and just take 2 days of easy walking around and checking out shops, the leaves are just starting to turn and I think we will beat the rush. Maybe some rain Wednesday, so what that's what they make umbrella's for Look us up if you are there.

Yup, us as well, I'm sure you're familiar with how fun and well put on their themed weekends are. Christmas in July is always a hoot!

It really is nice. Only they are expensive on their Holiday weekends which the rest of October weekends are before they close. Always a lot of nice folk there, the seasonal people are nice and friendly. It's been our Halloween trip for years now, we won best dressed Halloween Dog costume this weekend. For us we go for their "themed" weekends and events like that. Have never actually just camped there on a normal quiet weekend but we meet a lot of local Indiana folks that say it's their campground that they frequent several times a season. Sorry to hear your plans got fubar'd!

Ky Mooses, I looked at their site and it looks pretty nice, we had to change our plans this weekend due to the disfunction of the execuitive branch of the government.

Follow up on trip to Hoosier National Forest. I was prepping the Pod this morning to head out for the last trip to HNF. I called our friend Jerry the camp host to make sure everything was ok. jerry told me they had orders to close the gates and padlock them. Bear in mind I have been going to HNF for over 25 years. North face is open year round with no attendants so people can access the boat ramp and hunt the 3o thousand acres available to the public. South slope is open from oct 15 to dec 31 with no attendants for late year fishing and deer hunting, these gates are never closed as they need no attendants to maintain them. This crap of closing federal sites and monuments that normally have no one present just to prove a point is intolerable and I hope I live long enough to pay back the S.O.B.'s with my vote to stop this future gotcha Bravo Siera, We will prevail one way or the other.

A Jellystone near us is usually in our annual lineup. Good place for the kids.

Not sure if it's near a that lake. It's a private campground right off of exit 29 and a mile or two down the road. Nice little park, lots of seasonals, lots of activities and stuff. A nice weekend, haunted house, haunted forest, trick or treating. Sites are pretty decent as well.

Mooses. I am not familiar with Jellystone, I have heard of it, is it near Hardy lake ? Scottsburg is pretty close for us. We also like Clifty Falls in Madison.
