No worries about a bonfire with that load!  Potluck & fire Saturday night is usual, yes.

I'm still a maybe at this point.  I ended up spending half the day yesterday at the doctor's office because I was feeling worse, and I now have a diagnosis of cat scratch fever.  Heard of it many times but never knew anyone with it.  If they are right it can take a month to clear so we'll see how I'm doing later this week.

Did the Doctor have Ted Nugent playing when he gave you the diagnosis?

How do you guys work your pot lucks?  Do you post what people are bringing or is it a surprise?  I threw a 6 foot table on my trailer to keep the tarp from flapping that I can bring over to the gathering site.

One of the nice things about a Class C is I can bring my utility trailer with me when I need more "stuff".  I went to a Halloween Rally in October and had it loaded with decorations for a site decoration contest.

Ha!  Now that song will be in my head for an hour.  :-)

Usually it is whatever anyone brings, from food to hooch.  Personally I like throwing something into a crock pot for the day.

We do a big Halloween bash every year at Codorus State Park near Hanover - usually fun except for that big snow a couple of years ago.

Sorry, y'all. Don't think we can make it.  We have a bunch of church stuff this weekend.  Looks like the weather won't be too bad, tho.  We'll be thinkin' of ya!

Matt, make sure you show everyone how to properly shield your face when adding firewood to the fireWink

Ah yes, Mayoring.  Here is a link to our thread on MAYORING .  We tend to have large fires at some of our rallies.  The guy who runs our website is called the Mayor.  When he adds wood to the fire he has this stance.....one hand over his eyes with the other hand on the wood and he inches forward every now and then moving the hand from the eyes to check his position.  We call it mayoring.  Like Tebowing or Planking or some of the other goofy poses people do.

After we noticed it at a few trips we started taking pictures and inviting others to do the pose.  Here is my son doing the pose (he was safe the whole time, don't worry).  We welcome anyone to pose for the camera.

Pretty neat shot, all our kids enjoyed doing that in their younger days, actually they still enjoy it now in their twenties and thirties.  Never too old for that!

May have a hard time doing that in our neck of the woods tonight.  In the last 7 hours we have gotten 11 inches of snow and it is still coming down in boatloads.

From CanvasCampers there will be 3 sites.

Me, Matt with my 8yo nephew Evan in my class C.  My sister Karen is going to visit on Saturday.
Cindy in her van
Suzanne and Chris in their HTT

I'll have a fire Friday night, all are welcome.  Cindy, my nephew, and my Sister are going to geocache on Sat morning.  Sat afternoon I'm going to be cooking in my Dutch Oven and having a few cold ones.

What Rpods are thinking of coming?  How are you feeling Doug?

Unfortunately I'm bowing out.  I've been looking forward to getting together with the Canvas Camper group and the podders, but I don't want to push my limits.  It's too bad I'm not closer or I would come up for the evening on Saturday.
