We just returned from our first trip with our new 178 and I would call it a success! It was amazing to us how many people approached us while at the campground and wanted to take a look inside. Many of the other campers really liked the dome, which went up without much difficulty. We discovered a few issues that we will need to get back with the service department, but all in all it was a great trip!

Congrats! We brought our 178 -The Escape Pod - home two weeks ago. We've been camping in the driveway on the weekends, but we made reservations for our first official camping trip for over Veterans Day weekend! Today we completed our very first mod - installing an awning over the slide-out. My beloved should be posting pictures of the project later. Anyway, congrats on your first trip. Hope it's only the first of a great many more! Thumbs Up

I am going to get a coffee can and put outside the pod and put a sign "Come inside and look around, yes you can stand up in it and it has a shower and toilet and a/c and heat and t.v" tours $1.00" our last trip two weeks ago we gave 4 tours. I don't mind. people are amazed and a good number of them tell us I am going to get one of these.

My wife usually bakes some sort of a yummy treat for us when we camp.  And it's usually sitting on the counter to the right as soon as you walk into our Pod.  This past season whenever we give tours it's always been the usual stuff, "wow it's so cute, bigger than i thought, etc etc"  Lately this has been added "oooo those look yummy what are they"

LOLLOL

So now we plan ahead, we figure we'll be giving tours anyways so we have some of our treats cut up for visitors.  So now it's "sure go on in and look around, check it out, oh....and there are treats on the counter for you...along with a brochure!"

People think I'm trying to make a sale!  It's fun times.

LOL!

Well, the motto of all hard-sided campers is...  "welcome to the dark side, we have cookies".
