brake pad question/opinion!!!  ceramic vs semi-metallic on my f150.  i have mine but just seeing what others think.  hogone

I think the ceramic are better as you will not get the black brake dust all over your wheels, I have them on the Jeep and my work car and both stop great. I thought that they were standard on all new cars. Goose

Yes, if I am not mistaken, the ceramic should be speced on a 2010 F150.. you can buy organic pads, and that is what a cheesy dealer will put on for the used car "fresh brakes" claim. But ceramics are by far better, and worth the extra money.

It is my understanding that Ceramics work very well under normal conditions. If you routinely do severe braking(police, taxicab, Very heavily loaded) then Semi Metallic brake pads are for you.
At work we only source Ceramic pads...

And. You won't have the dusting or noise with Ceramic pads that you get from Semi Metallic pads.

i called 2 separate dealers on friday.............both highly suggested semi-metallic which they said was stock;  actually the semi-metallic pads i bought were more $$$$$ than ceramic pads
