Been looking for about a year now and finally put the down payment down on a 178 with all the extras. Got one heck of a deal from Couch's and they have been to work with so far. Looks like we get to have a road trip in a couple weeks to pick it up and get to use it on the way back home.

We just picked up our 178 from Couch's on Saturday. What a great group to deal with! We bought from Brannon, who was constantly at our beck & call throughout the thousand question process. We met the owner Jeff on Saturday & he was very interested that we had a positive experience.
Hopefully your drive home is more pleasurable than ours. We fought a 30+ mph headwind along with torrential rain/snow almost the whole way home. The camper pulled well & tracked straight throughout the whole 4 hour journey.
You'll enjoy yours, We love ours so far.

i hope so as well. Its a 12 to 13 hours without stops and not pulling a trailer. We are allowing ourselves a day and half to get back home. I hope that all goes well.

Always multiply your time by 1.25 when towing.  This factors in extra gas stops, getting stuck behind big rigs in the right lane, etc.  On all-day drives I add in an extra 30 minutes per meal stop after using the multiplier.

If Google says it will take 7 hours to drive from A to B, I know it will take 8.75.  Then add another 0.5 for lunch.  9.25 total from A to B.

I suffered a heart attack a few years ago while on a long trip.  In the ER, they found I also had pulmonary embolisms (blood clots) in both lungs.  The medical experts warn that driving for prolonged times without stopping can actually cause blood clots to form, and recommend that travelers stop, get out and walk a little every 2 hours.  We learned our lesson and do this, but it also adds to your driving time.

We stopped after an hour of driving for lunch & a visit to a winery. Does the winery count? What multiplication table do I use for that?
