Would you recommend disconnecting the RPod battery when you leave it parked for a week or two in the summer? I think how fast a car battery goes down if you leave the lights on and it scares me to think of the several little things we could be leaving on (starting with a simple light) and draw all our battery... Cry

If you don't park where you can plug in, then yes, I would disconnect.

Yes, every time - even when parked for a day.  I installed a battery disconnect switch to make life easier.

BTW: it will likely be the propane detector in your trailer that will draw down your battery.  There's no off switch (for safety's sake).  It'll take about 10 days with just your propane detector active to completely wipe out a group 24 battery.

I purchased the 182G about 2 months ago and when I went to pick it up I had them install an on off battery switch that Outbound mentions.  It is well worth the money.

The rule of thumb is, reconnect the battery to the pod and then the pod to your house, overnight, at least every 30 days while it is warm.  If you live where it gets cold you can get away with one charge during the coldest 3 months.  Also do this overnight just before any trip.

You can leave the pod plugged in all the time and it will safely keep the battery topped off, but it will use a decent amount of electricity.

If you can't charge it where you park it, bring the battery home and keep a battery tender on it.  The battery tender uses a lot less electricity.
