The best thing about pressure cookers is that you can make certain things last minute.  My favourites are bean soups, risottos, braised oxtail and other tough but flavourful cuts when it's cold and wet out.
 
As we don't want to be eating leftovers for the entire trip, the most versatile size we have is the 3.5qt. It can handle a roast if needed but still make the perfect risotto for 2 with leftovers for a second meal.  However, my personal favourite for the pod is the 2.5qt deep skillet/saute pan.  We bought the accessory lid for it so can use it as a regular saute pan or a skillet as well as a small pressure cooker. We can still make soups, risotto and stews for 2 with leftovers.

Wow! That's some really nice cookware. I want to camp next to you! The aromas must be awesome. Smile

Do you always use the inside cooktop or do you use an outdoor portable burner/hotplate?

I suppose we won't find a can of Dinty Moore Beef stew in your pod!

Depending on the weather, we also have a Coleman single burner stove that we use to cook outside.  
As for tinned stew, it'll depend on if it's yummy or not.  Most tinned stews can be doctored into something respectable in a pinch Wink

Try an induction cooking unit-  works great inside or outside the 'Pod.

Or even a cheap one-burner electric stove, we've had one for years in our pod.  Cheaper than a one-burner induction but the same functionally.

We had looked at induction cooktops early on but the plug-in models didn't seem to have enough power.  Plus we were afraid that more powerful models would blow out the circuits in the pod.

We'll have a look at the newer models since it's been a few years since we last looked.

We used an induction cooktop on our recent trip. It was a model we picked up at Aldi and varies between 100 Watts and 1800 Watts  of cooking power. We had no problems using it.

Watts = Volts * Amperes. At 120 Volts, 1800 Watts is 15 Amperes. That is within the capability of the R-Pod's wiring. Most of the time, you would not be using it at full power anyway. Full power is good for bringing water to a boil (quite fast), but would be too much power for most other cooking. Once the pan warms up, I find that I can cut the power down to 600 Watts or less.

We got the 10 piece induction ready nesting cookware set from Magma. It works well and does not take up a huge amount of space. The handles are excellent also and won't fall off like the ones from the cheap nesting cookware sets. This is real cookware.

We have a Cuisinart nesting set,, it ROCKS.. but has been OOP for several years. Unhappy

Check out Magma 10 Piece Stainless Steel Induction Cook-Top Gourmet Nesting Cookware Set. You can find it on a number of sites. We got ours at the site named for a river in South America. I have seen it in a web search at a number of sites at various prices. Magma also makes a non-stick version. The stainless, if not overheated, is sufficiently non-stick for me and there is no coating to scratch or wear off.
