Heres a youtube link that shows how to fix the issue. If I were doing this, I would use even more grease in there. Make sure you use dielectric grease, or bulb grease.

Just look on the side by the door latch. You will see indention in the fridge sides, one is covered by a white piece of tape. Just pull it off and fill with silicone...

Also, where the wire comes down to the latch, form a drip loop in the wire. That will also help since it is hard for water to run uphill. It doesn't take a big one.

I believe you need to look further. How do you think the moisture is getting in there in the first place?
In my refer there was considerable space for air leakage around the back panel of the refer. In addition to trying all the other recommended fixes (which didn't sure the problem) it was necessary to seal every potential opening in the inside of the box. I used aluminum HVAC tape and silicone sealer - use your best judgement. The door seals and the latch ass'y seem to be working fine on their own.
And yes, the electronic source of the beeping is the moisture condensing on the door switch contacts.

Bingo - no more beeping. Ever. Argue if you will (someone will!) but this is actually fixable. By you!

Lastly, be sure and follow your mom's advice - Keep the door closed as much as possible. It ain't a t.v. set !

This may be just a little off, but my LED light on our 2018 DOMETIC RM 8501 fridge interior light stopped working. Appreciate any input

I made a small drip loop in the wire leading to the switch to help prevent moisture from running down into the switch. I think that helps also.

This issue is due to a manufacturing defect in the door switch that allows moistures to collect and condense..  Dometic knows about it.  The silicon fill does work.  A new switch is very expensive, and you have to be sure to get the correct right or left one.  I no longer have the part number.
