I broke my hip falling from the second step of a ladder onto concrete. Hairline fracture so not a surgical candidate. 6 weeks in a wheelchair instead.

So +1 to LA, height isn't the issue, getting the right ladder for the job and using it properly and with deliberation is. I can't imagine a reason I would ever again get on a ladder that was not actually fit for purpose. There's nothing on top of an rpod that's worth breaking a hip or dying for.

We cover our Rpod when we put in storage for the winter and getting the cover over the top with the AC and antenna is always a challenge.  We have used a length of PVC pipe with one end covered so it doesn't tear the cover but it's still a challenge to get it over everything on the roof while standing on the ground. I think that small retractable ladder is the answer to our problem and likely better than having FR install a ladder on it because we can place the ladder where we need it to be to reach over the AC and antenna.
