Welcome trampdogg1. If your trailer was not refitted with the fender lights and the 3 identification lights on the upper rear of the trailer then you should contact the local Forest River dealer in your area to have the recall work done. Hopefully one the other Podders that are north of the border can help you with this issue. Goose

Personally if I did not have the problematic and ugly spoiler I'd count myself fortunate! NO way would I let them add one....I'm sure I could come up with a more elegant solution if I had to have the lights. My pod looks like crap with the wavy edge of the spoiler and the sloppy sealant work.... The fender lights could also be done in a different way- for one I'd like them on the very edge of the fenders to gauge width in a tight spot instead of in from the edge a few inches like FR does....

This summer at the, International Rally, the 'pod next to us had a spoiler and new fenders installed so his lighting could comply with federal standards. The installation was done by Forest River at no charge, on his 5 year old 2009 model pod, which he had bought used. FR made the installation a priority for his safety on the trip home, I would think any FR dealer should too. (It's not like they have to do it for free!) If not, contact FR.

Yup, as the Dingo's said you'll have no problem getting this done still.

Budward, I've had no problems with the recall light bar on mine. I agree about the fender lights. Personally I would prefer this surface-mount solution (link below). The wires that run under the fender will get ripped off some day by road debris, for starters.

There's no time limit on recalls. As techntrek said, contact your dealer and setup an appointment.
But, make sure its a shop you trust to do the work. As you can see from this thread, others have had issues with sloppy work. Personally, I'm very happy with the retrofit done on mine.

I like those lights too, one of my enclosed trailers uses them. But- they won't work on my 179 as the slide out only clears the fender by about a half inch.

Well that sucks. At the very least I would want the wiring run on the outer surface using a wiring race/cover like that other model has.
