Hi...hope i can get some much needed advice. I tried turning on the heater in our RPOD 176 the A/C turns on instead. We have a Domestic Wall Component. Help!Thanks TeamLaCaro

Hi teamlacaro,
Are you sure the AC fan *and* the heater didn't come on? Personally, I find that annoying and simply turn the AC fan off by turning the AC breaker on the electric panel off. fred

Check the thermostat to see if the fan setting is Auto. With the digital thermostats that will allow the A/C fan (not the compressor) to run at the same time as the heater. I agree with Fred that it can be annoying, although there have been times when using the A/C's fan at the same time helped to get the heat more evenly distributed.

Thanks for the quick response. I was so preoccupied with the fan I didn't even check to see if the heater went on. I will check tonight.

I had it backwards. See this thread for a discussion (set it to Auto, not High or Low).

On mine:
You're done. Now, when the heater comes on, the blower on the a/c will stay off. |
