Before you slip that winter cover over your Rpod, be sure all sharp edges are covered. Here's an easy and inexpensive way to cover the antenna blades, the only sharp edges that might rip a cover during installation. Just slit some of that old water line hose that you retired long ago and cut pieces to fit. I went ahead and duct-taped the ends to ensure they wouldn't slip off once they were in place.  This small effort is far easier than trying to patch the holes in your cover next spring, not to mention knowing that your cover is not compromised at installation so none of the cruel winter's elements finds its way to the beautiful finish of your lovely unit.
