twday66,  Just a thought.  You should check your local dealers for how much the destination and prep charges are.  These costs can add up to over $2,000.

I have a 2010 175 for sale. It has the loveseat that bumps out. It includes the custom cover, R-dome,and microwave/convection oven. We are located in northern Wisconsin. We only used our camper 3 times, it is in very good condition. We bought it in 2011 from a couple who only used it a few times and decided to go bigger. We are asking 9,500, but I would sell for less to someone on this forum. Selling due to health reasons.

ksteig,

I sent you a private message, but since the editor fools me occasionally I thought I'd duplicate the information here.

We're not that far from you, in southeast Minnesota. It would be fairly easy for us to visit during the week sometime soon, if that works for you. I work weekends, so Saturday and Sunday is pretty used up for me.

If you check Craigslist Northern Wisconsin you can see pics and obtain information. We are located in Tomahawk WI. I do have someone coming to look at it.

Have you found a unit yet?  We are located in Traverse City.  Here is a copy of the ad I am just writing.  Pictures will be available soon if you are interested.

Your gain our loss!  Here we are with two RVs.  For sale  our 2015 Forest River Rpod 179.  In new condition as it has only been used twice.  We loved this unit and hate to see it go.  It is loaded with all the options:  13.5K AC, Convection Oven, LCD Flat Screen TV, R dome awning with screen room plus Axle risers.  You could add a bike carrier but that replaces the spare tire holder.  Three custom items added: under carriage sewer hose holder, second propane tank and second battery.

On the media side it comes with a  AM/FM audio system with blue tooth, CD, DVD, USB inputs and outside speaker.  It has a TV antenna with booster.  Other nice features are Nitrogen filled tires and an outside shower.  It is also Solar ready.

The unit is light weight and easy to tow.  It is ready to hit the road…contact 231-357-2212

This unit is a bargain at $14,500.

Hey twday66, I just posted our 1 year old RPOD 179 today. Check out the pics and details on my web site pictures at:

http://skumriders.com/RPOD179.html

or email Charlie ( Lexington, KY ) at uglygs@yahoo.com

Your situation sounds like ours exactly. Just 2 of us, needing comfort and convenience for 2. I can talk with you also about a mod that I have and did not include in the pics. Instead of "uncomfortable" dining booth seats, I have lightweight "bucket seats" from a hot rod that I have. They fit on the pedestals where the slideout rests when in. They are great. Also have made the bed very comfortable now too, as well as the TV viewing.
Unfortunately I need to take my BMW motorcycle along and loading it into the pickup is not an option ( knee replacement, etc.)Thus I need a toy hauler. Hope I can help you even if you buy that new one...I may be able to beat that deal...but it sounds good for a new one, couldn't blame you?

I enjoyed your comments. I am looking for a tilt TV holder. Will you send me the name/ specs on the one you bought?
Thanks,

I got this tilt/adjuster thru Amazon for @ $13.00. It sandwiches between the RPOD179 TV and the original swing out bracket. No need to re-attach anything to the flimsy walls of the RPOD. I removed the TV from it's bracket and mounted this simple bracket to the back of the TV and then mounted the bracket to the original swingout arm of the RPOD. I think I had to make a paper template and drill a couple of holes in the bracket (very simple) to make this work. It tilts down @ 15 degrees and is adjustable. Works great with minimal work.

Monoprice Adjustable Tilting Wall Mount Bracket for LCD LED Plasma (Max 30Lbs, 10~26inch)    $12.90 with free shipping. (google it) or

Hope this helps you.
