Hi. I'm new to this forum and purchased a 2015 rpod 179 last Saturday. The slide channels are tearing up the seal a little bit at the top. This is not proper or is it?

Well, I have a 178 and it has a different type of slide, but I can't imagine doing damage the seal is a good thing. On the other hand, I can't begin to suggest what you could do to stop it.

Is it the metal gear track on the side of the slide room that is doing the damage?

Maybe you could clamp something (another piece of rubber) in place at that point where it's getting chewed on to protect the seal, but  take care not to inhibit movement of the slide.

How bad is it? A pic would really help on this one.

Both metal gear tracks. When I figure out how to post a pic I will.

I saw this on mine. It is where the gear channel passes the seal. Mine looked like the pass through cut in the seal was not quite large enough and square. I'm watching and making sure I keep the seals clean and lubed. As a note make sure you always check the top of the slide box Before you bring it in and remove all debris.

Thank you. I will monitor the seals, but I'm going to let the dealer look at it in few weeks after I use it some. I appreciate all the help and knowledge I can garner from people on this forum.
