Hello I'm new to this site. Has anyone bought an r pod without a a/c unit and installed one them self ?
I guess I was wondering if all units come " pre wired " for an a/c unit or not.
Thanks for any info...

I haven't but I know a person who bought a pod a few years back, without the a/c and had one installed later ( by the pod dealer) and had nothing but problems. It never ran right the whole time he had it.

I just removed my A/C from my R-pod and installed another Fan. The wiring was the biggest issue (for me), if you're handy with electrical, it shouldn't be a problem.

I am just wondering why you would install another fantastic fan, if you turn both of them on the pod might just take of.

Or implode Thumbs Up

I have used my AC once on my way home back from dealer when we bought it new.
We stopped at an RV Park for a one night stay and used the AC but it was so noisy, and the whole RV vibrates. Dometic brand works OK, but reminds me of lesser quality appliances (i.e. Roper brand).

We also would install another Fantastic if it weren't such a chore.......

I removed my AC and replaced it with a skylight.
