I thought methane doesn't have an odor, thus utility companies add mercaptan to make it smell distinctive so you know you have a leak.

Horses add a distinctive smell to their methane exhaust too, of which on average they produce 45 lbs per year, only about 1/3 of cows (there's a nice factoid for you).  Not sure what their additive is exactly, but its not as bad smelling as human, dog, or cat exhaust....

There's a book out on the subject, Does it Fart?  Another interesting factoid, snakes do but sloths do not. Who'd a thunk it....Embarrassed

The droppings of our wild horses here in rural NV are not very useful.  They are so full of weed seeds that it can't be used in a garden.  We just have to step around the road apples as we walk down the street.

Sometimes I think you guys just don't have enough to do! LOL

As for us were hitching up the nags to the Pod and headed to a lake in the mountains for a few days to try to get away from this 90 degree weather. Smile

Better get an 8 horse team, that's generally what they used to haul prairie schooners in pioneer days, which weighed about the same as an rPod. They still only made about 15 miles on a good day so by the time you get to that mountain lake it will be fall and you can head right back to cooler weather. LOL

Ford 150 5.0 L V8 ...originally pulled it with a Toyota 4 Runner but felt as if we needed more pulling power.
