Apparently I failed to mention I am the developer of The Ultimate US Campground Project iPhone / iPad app.  I'd like to mention it's been upgraded to include PDF maps, most of which are National Park Service PDF maps.  These maps are super useful, and can be viewed offline.  More info at https://itunes.apple.com/us/app/ultimate-us-public-campground/id698323700?mt=8

Don't forget about the US Army Corps of Engineers, you can buy a Golden Age Pass, 62 years or older and you have to be a US Citizen.
If you want something done right, do it yourself.

You might also consider Trip Advisor, on line.  Lots of info on just about anywhere you want to go.  Although we have the Woodall's book, we also check on comments posted on Trip Advisor.  Another source for checking on campgrounds and campers experiences.  Safe Travels.

Good Sam membership includes a very good guide, either as an app or softcover book, "Woodall's" my parents used that for decades.
