When I purchased my Pod 151 it came with a Dome, however as a single person there was no way I would be able to put it up by myself, AND why do it for short weekend trips.  I found a post on the forum about the Pahaque Visor and contacted the company.  They are great to work with!  The first thing they asked was the size of the kedder rail, because they knew that FR had changed rails during the 2010 manufacturing year.  In addition, they had never made a visor for a 151 and they did the research on the length of the rail and the smaller size of the trailer.

It was the best $300 I've spent in a long time!  The visor is so, so, easy to install by yourself.  The first time I had it up, on Memorial Day weekend, there was a storm with wind gusts over 20 mph and it made it through perfectly.

I definitely recommend the visor!

Did you wind up getting a Pahaque visor?

We also have a 179 and are considering getting the visor. I'm curious to see a photo of one on a 179 to see how the door clears.

We have a 179 and was wondering if anyone has purchased the Rpod visor from PahaQue? We have the dome but thought the visor would be good for using on short trips. If anyone has purchased how do you like the visor? We just purchased our 179 in October 2015 and used one time before storing for the winter. We are looking forward to r-podding this season.

link to visor is pahaquecustom.com

Thank you for any assistance.

Yes, I have actually and I have also checked with the factory regarding which brackets they thought were used in the pix that I attached...The price of the awning depends on the color housing that you choose.  The least expensive F45S 10 ft awning is the white ($884.00)

You can see the complete price list at:
http://www.fiammausa.com/products/awnings.asp?Fam=F01

Here is the reply I received from Mr. Snyder regarding the brackets:

It looks like the brackets they used were a combination of the "B" and "C" brackets (see attached drawings). They have used three sets however two bracket sets are enough for a 300cm (10') awning.

The 02097-01- "C" brackets are $32.00 each and the 02437-01- "T" brackets are $19.00 each. You would need two of each unless you want to add the additional 3rd center bracket.

The 300cm (10') awning is $884.00 with a white housing and $907.00 for a black or aluminum anodized finish.

We can be reached at 407-672-0091 to order.

I have NOT done any of this yet... still in research phase!  If you beat me to the punch, please be sure & let me know how it came out!!!

Thumbs Up

I really don't know if this is a custom fit or not. I looked up the website and they have a 10'1" awning. I measured my Rpod 179 & from the far edge of the door to the inside of the window and I do believe the 10'1" will fit right in there. This company seems to do a lot of specialty retrofit awnings for all sorts of vehicles VW buses motorhomes etc. their phone number is listed on their website if I recall correctly and you could give them a call make sure you get the US company.
