Hi All, We just picked up our 2015 model 179 a few days ago. It didn't take long for us to realize the television was unwatchable while laying in bed due to the angle. I looked at buying a replacement for the mounting arm, but most everything I could find would only tilt 15 degs, or 20 at most. And I still don't think that would be enough.
So with a little head scratching and metal working, the problem is solved! All it requires is an extra little bracket be inserted at the end of the arm, before the mounting plate that attaches to the TV. That plate needs to be removed and rotated 90 degs. The result is that you can tilt the TV almost straight down. Doesn't affect the stowage or movement of the TV and swing arm at all. |
