On a Lippert Torflex Axles the specifications are “Fender clearance: Allow 3" over tire at full load”
My trailer came with 15’ tires and I replaced them with BF Goodrich All-Terrain T/A KO2 size LT235/75R15, Overall Dia. 28.8”. The fender clearance on the right side is about 4” and on the left side it’s 2”. I have never had the tire rub on the fender. Right side

I went back and measured again the tire to finder clearance with a tool I could not find this morning. The right side clearance is 4¼" (2.25) and the left side is 2½" (2.5)
