We just got a new 182G Hood River Edition (X-Treme 15" tires), but the spare tire comes stored in the back storage compartment which takes up a lot of valuable storage space.  I would like to mount it to the front of the trailer and was hoping someone could recommend exactly what mount they have used that works well for the 2" x 4" tongue area.  I'd like to try and mount it in the space to the right of the battery holder and left of the load distribution bar mount.  Thanks for the help!

We mounted our spare tire on the tongue. we actually reused the original rear mount and had our welder make the necessary changes. We had to move the propane tank forward about 2" to make it fit. It does not interfere with the anti-sway brackets installed similar to what you have.

There are several universal mounts available from Northern Tools and Harbor Freight that bolt onto the A frame.

Be aware that moving the spare to the tongue will add about 45 pounds to your tongue weight,

I purchased the BAL Hide-A-Spare to move my spare to underneath between the door and rear of our 179. There was a large space suitable for this purpose. I am waiting for some missing parts for mounting the spare to the carrier. Once I complete it, I will post pictures in my mods.I actually got the 28210 model, which is a little shorter. I still ended up having to shorten it so the 28215 model would work fine. It would require cutting the tubing and drilling new holes. If you have the tools, it is not too difficult. A little touch-up paint helps also.
