The 2015/16 R-pod I just bought had been left in "winterize" mode (figuring that out was a time consuming project in and of itself) and there is no sign of either the fresh water tank drain plug or the more substantial looking water heater drain plug.
How would I go about finding replacements for those? The fresh water tank looks like it uses a 1/2" plastic plug, which would probably be easy to find, but the water heater looks like it is made out of metal and is seemingly a bit larger. I apologize in advance for the newbieness of these questions.

The water heater "drain plug" is actually for an anode rod. You will need Suburban Magnesium Anode Rod Part # 232767 or equivalent. If your water is excessively corrosive, then you can substitute an Aluminum anode rod. The purpose of the anode rod is to sacrifice itself to protect the water heater tank. You will need Teflon tape and a 1-1/16" socket to install it. Shop around for your best price and delivery options. You may find it cheaper but you probably want it pretty fast.

 First pic : fresh water tank drain, second pic: hot and cold water low point drain, you may have to cut some of the foam away to find them. third: HWT anode rod or drain plug, on the bottom of pic in the middle under the brass tubing. |

The plugs are either 1/2" or 3/8" plumbing fittings which are slightly different than other threaded things.
I have been tricked several times by those small differences.
