We are looking at buying a new R-Pod. In doing some serious price checking, it looks like Jeff Couch's RV Nation beats them all, unless I've missed something. Is it worth driving 2000 miles to pick up a new RV? Does anyone know of anyplace better with close to wholesale prices? Thanks in advance for the advice!

Make sure you understand the warranty ramifications of not buying local.
After that... The "worth it" is totally up to you as far as how much time, money, and effort it costs to drive from WA to OH and back I guess. Also understand, for what it's worth, Couch's doesn't sell "Hood River Editions". The east coast pods are slightly different then west.. No issue to me, but some may care. |

Many have made the drive. If you can make a trip out of it so you aren't just slogging through miles both ways, that will make it a better experience.

We live here in Spokane now, having moved back from Charlotte NC 2 years ago, and I can tell you that the prices for R-Pods out here are much higher than back east where we bought ours 5 years ago. It appears to be due to the prevalence of the the Hood River Edition units with all of the modifications/additions to them, along with the demand that is very high. Every time we go into a dealer with ours we are asked if we will sell it to them ... they are great draws for getting people in apparently from what the salespeople have said.
You really will not find low prices up here in the NW on them for sure, so you have to balance the lower price of traveling halfway or more across the country and the costs to do so against paying more locally, in addition to not having a local dealer to support you post sale. Best of luck on your decision!

I'd at least give Vic at Blue Dog RV
in Post Falls Id. a call before I drove 2k miles. He gave us a great deal on our 177 Hood River. Hunter's restaurant nearby is a good place to eat while you are there......
