I need to waterproof my tent on my 176T. Has anyone tried to do this? What did you use?

Yes, we have the 176T as well. So, when we got it it was new and it came with waterproofing instructions. I cant recite it word for word but a few of the first steps were to open the tent all the way and spray it down with a hose. This(according to FR) allowed the tent stitching to expand. They recommended doing this a few times over the course of a few months. Before applying any tent sealer.

Having said that. We have had the tent model now for two years and used it quite extensively. we have had it in hot, cold, rain and wind. Even a little snow. It has never ever leaked. Now you will notice condensation during those chilly nights in the 30's but thats not a leak. it holds up great.

What tent sealer did you use? I can't find any info on what material the tent is made of, so don't know which sealer to use.
Thanks.

we never used one. we followed the instructions given which recommended a soak with a hose to let the threads expand and tighten any gaps. works great
