We are the proud owners of a 2016 R-179 HRE and are looking forward to visiting the National Parks West of the Mississippi starting next year.  The wife tried to complete all the warranty registration cards. She was using the serial numbers on the completion list from Forest River (I think it comes from them).  She couldn't register the A/C because Dometic said the serial number did not agree with the Model number.

Where and how do I find the model/serial number for the A/C??
Enjoy Life!!

I had to drop the lower air box. Not a big deal, but kinda a PITA. Like 6 or 8 screws I think. There is a graphic somewhere that shows locations of fasteners.

I think that only gives you the serial number for the inside unit.  You may need to get on the roof and remove the outer cover (4 screws) to get the other serial number.

I had to do the same thing. Whatever Domestic wanted, I was able to get from down under.
