R dome question

   Could some of my fellow ponders tell me what year did the change in the R dome track occur.  I have a 2010 172 and the dome track is narrow and the bead on the R dome is small.  What year did the bead on the R dome and the track that it fits into change into one of a larger size?   Thank you my friends
