Hello all,

I’m considering getting  a 176T for the family and have a few questions for the forum experts. I really like the 2017 ½ model 176T but I was also looking at the Jayco hummingbird bunk model and see that it has a large storage access door on the bunk section. Does anyone know if the 2018 model 176t will offer this?  Also what month will the 2018’s be released and hit the dealer lots?

well, the 17.5's just came out in october 2016. There were several changes made in that model. So either they are going to stay with the way it is for awhile (my belief) or, they are realizing they need to make more improvements to keep the sales up. Thats your options, pick your belief.

You can always have a door added.

I actually looked at the floorplan for that model, and i saw the access door. It must be a small door like the one marwayne posted. you cant have a door that exposes the bunk beds,or can you.

I have a hatch on either side of our pod, to get access to the space under the bottom bunk. model is a 172. This pic is from the inside.

Sure you can.  My current 28' camper has a cargo door that opens onto the lowest of the 3 bunks.  I've seen other campers with cargo doors that open into hallways, or into the master bedroom (sometimes doubling as an emergency escape).
