Not to mention probably overheating the coil that operates the brakes and causing the brakes to fail when you might really need them. Wheel chocks are a much better option.

No. The brakes will engage and run down your R-Pod battery.

I would like to know if it is a good idea to pull the pin when the r pod is parked without the TV attached.
