Thinking about getting this grill before our next adventure in 2 weeks.

Anyone have any experience with it? Especially with the quick-connect valve on the new R-Pods?

Also interested if anyone has installed a grill mounting rail on their R-Pod. I'm not crazy about the idea of drilling holes into the side of our "rolling home-away-from-home," so will probably not use a mounting rail.

We decided to go with the Coleman Roadtrip LXX 22,000 BTU.  It is on sale at Walmart for $127 free shippping.  However it takes 1lb propane tanks.  People on this board mentioned it and have purchased the correct tubing and connections so that it can be hooked up directly to the RPOD quick connect but it costs around $35)  We bought it and found out that it is excellent (gets very hot at 22K BTU) has two pull out slides but VERY heavy and it is too fat to fit in the RPOD underbelly.  We have to keep it in the SUV.  We like it because it has a built in stand that folds and you can roll it like a suitcase.  This way we do not have to drill holes in the RPOD or use up half of the picnic table (if the campground even has one) for a table top grill.  And in a windy day roll it downside from the wind, so no smoke in our faces.

Thanks, R&C.  Did you do the mod to work with the R-Pod's onboard tank, or do you bring a second propane tank?

No experience with the Camco.

I bought this last year and have been pleased with it:
Coleman Grill/Stove

It's pretty stingy with propane and it easily fits into the storage compartment doors. It comes set up for the one pound bottles but, can be adapted to the 20lbs tanks. I prefer the one pounders. It gives a lot of flexibility in cooking location and I use them in my lantern, also. A griddle plate can be purchased, as an option.

We just got the grill and decided to use the 1 lb canisters.  If it turns out to be too much effort and too expensive we would then switch to the quick connect.  Nice to know we have the option to remove the regulator on the grill and add quick connect components

I am a Weber Q fan. Great, durable grills. I have the CAMCO adapter that allows me to direct connect to the Pod propane tank, not removing anything from the grill, and also gives me option to use Aux tank to run everything. I have the Weber cart, I carry in pick-up bed to mount grill on, I can move it 12' from the tank, either side of Pod.

Does anyone have an 0-grill?  I'm looking for something that will fit into the 179 storage underneath.

I have not tried specific brand of grill yet but after seeing several reviews about it, I can say that it will do well for camping.

To close the loop on my own question: I wound up taking a chance on the Coleman Roadtrip LXX because it is on sale at Amazon right now. I also ordered a low-pressure conversion kit from propanegear.com for $50 that included the adapter and a hose. Plus I bought another regulator assembly so I could easily swap between using the onboard 20# propane tank and the small canisters. Haven't cooked anything yet except the inside of the unit to burn off the oil, but will report back after I do.
